If a payment processed using Tap to Pay on Android requires a PIN, Mews POS cancels the transaction, and a Transaction was declined message appears. You need to take that payment using Mews Terminal.
Some common reasons to request a PIN include,
- The transaction amount exceeds the cardholder verification limit, which varies dependent on country. You can learn more about the cardholder verification limit here.
- The card issuer requests it for security purposes.
- A PIN is necessary for the first of the card, and the card is still unused for any transactions.
