How to take a card payment in Mews POS

When your guest wants to pay by card for their order, you can take the card payment using the Mews Terminal 2.0. This is useful for guests who prefer to pay for their restaurant or bar orders in the moment, rather than using a room charge. Using a card reader for payments streamlines transactions, enhances accuracy, and minimizes cash handling risks.

To take a card payment using the Mews POS app, from the order you want to charge, 

1. Tap .
2. On the payment screen, tap Card.
   
   
   
   
3. The app sends the  amount  to the Mews Terminal.
4. Present the Mews terminal to your guest.
5. If you enable tipping for your card payments, your guest can choose to add a tip using the Mews Terminal. Note: You can learn how to configure tipping here.
   
   
   
   
6. The guest can tap, insert, or swipe their card to initiate payment.
7. After a successful charge, a confirmation screen appears.

Once the transaction is successful, you can find it in the invoice list.

You have now taken a payment using a Mews Terminal.
