How to take a card payment using Mews Terminal S2

When your guest wants to pay by card for their order, you can take the card payment using the Mews Terminal S2. This is useful for guests who prefer to pay for their restaurant or bar orders in the moment, rather than using a room charge. Using your Mews Terminal S2 for payments streamlines transactions as you can take payments on the same device and at the same time as taking the order.

To take a card payment using the Mews POS app:

1. Find the order you want to charge.

2. Tap .
3. On the payment screen, tap Card.
   
   

4. The app displays the amount the guest needs to pay.
5. Present the Mews Terminal S2 to your guest.
6. If you enable tipping for your card payments, your guest can choose to add a tip using the Mews Terminal. Note: You can learn how to configure tipping here.
   
   

5. The guest can tap, insert, or swipe their card to initiate payment.
6. After a successful charge, a confirmation screen appears.

 

Once the transaction is successful, you can find it in the invoice list.
