Managing products in Mews Multi-Property

 

Managing products in Mews Multi-Property helps you organize and configure products centrally and locally, for example, on a property-level, to ensure consistency across multiple properties. You can perform this task to streamline product management by saving time creating and configuring products per individual property. You can view and manage products via the Products screen of Mews Multi-Property, where you can also create and assign products to specific properties.

To view and manage products in Mews Multi-Property: 

  1. In your portfolio account, go to the main menu menu icon > Products.

  1. You can click between the Central products and Local products tabs to view the full library of your products.

Managing products in Mews Multi-Property  

To view and manage products: 

  1. In your portfolio account, go to the main menu menu icon > Products. Click on the Central and Local products tabs to access your full product library: 
  • Central products: All products you create at the portfolio level. You can assign these to multiple properties, to maintain consistent products throughout your portfolio.  
  • Local products: Products specific to a property. You can create products that are unique to certain properties and view them on this tab.  
  1. You can use the filters and search options alongside column headers to locate specific products and filter your view. 
  • Check the boxes alongside products to select multiple products. 
  • Click filter icon and type to enter in the Filter by search bar to search for a specific product or click reorder icon to reorder your view.

Central products   

To view details of your central products:  

  1. On the Products screen, click on the name of the product in the Internal name column or click dots icon > View details. 
  2. You can see the central products details on the Details tab, where you can find the Internal details, Guest-facing details and product Mapping information, as below:

Note: The system automatically hides any fields without data.
 

  • Internal details: View the internal details for your product, including the Internal name and Short name. 
  • Guest-facing details: View the guest-facing or external details of your product, including the External name, Description, and Ordering information. 
  • Mapping: View the mapping details, including the Product key and External identifier. 
  • Product Image: View the image representing your product. 
  • Activity Log: View the metadata on the creation and updates of your product. 
  1. Click on the Properties tab to see which properties the central product is assigned to, as below:

You can add the central product to individual or multiple properties by clicking Add to property.  You can learn more about assigning central products to properties here.  

 

Local products  

To view details of your local products:  

  1. On the Products screen, select the Local products tab.

  1. Click on the name of your local product in the Internal name column or click dots icon > View details. 
  2. This takes you to the product details on a property level in Mews Operations, where you can make any desired changes. You can learn more about products on a property level here.  

 

Create central products  

You can create central products in Mews Multi-Property. You can learn how to do so here.  

 

Import existing products   

You can import and map existing products to your properties in Mews Multi-Property using the Excel import template. You can download it and enter your products, to upload them to Mews. You can learn how to do so here.
