Matching Manager report and Manager analytics

You can match the Manager report in Mews Operations with the data that appears in Manager analytics, a part of Mews Analytics, by following the steps below.

Matching the report and Manager analytics is useful for:

  • Data validation: By comparing the data, you can identify any discrepancies or inconsistencies, such as missing or duplicate entries, incorrect figures, or data entry errors.
  • Financial Reporting: Check your financial data generated to ensure its accuracy. For example, if revenue figures in Manager analytics do not match the revenue reported in Mews, it may signal problems to address, such as revenue recognition, billing processes, or accounting practices.

Notes:

  • Manager Analytics does not support accounting configurations yet, so grouping by accounting configuration in Manager Report will likely produce different numbers.
  • By default, in Manager Analytics the Revenue = (Service Revenue + Product Revenue + Additional Revenue).
  • In Manager Analytics, Service Revenue = Night Revenue = Room Revenue = Resource Revenue = Space Revenue.
  • In Manager analytics, when calculating occupancy and RevPAR, the system considers the out-of-order blocks.

Manager analytics

By default, the revenue displayed in Manager analytics is the Total revenue. To match other variations, you can use the Filters on the right-hand side. You can learn more about using the filters here

To find the total revenue:

  1. Go to Manager analytics.
  2. Ensure that you select the correct currency. Note: This is something you need to remember when logged in with a global admin, support account, or, in general, if you are a user with access to properties with different default currencies.
  3. Use Revenue Type to select between Service, Product, and Additional revenue.
    • For example, by selecting just Service, you get the numbers to match Total service revenue, i.e., shown in orange in the screenshots above.

  1. To get the (indirect) night revenue per Room space type, in the Filters, select Space Type is Room.
