This article gives you a detailed description of all the features, filters, and data available in Manager analytics and the best way to use them.

In this article, you can learn the following about Manager analytics:

Data sources and parameters

The dashboard data represents all operational and performance data regarding reservations, that the system gathers from your property(s). The report bases the data on:

  • Revenue data
  • Occupancy data
  • Average Daily Rate (ADR), and
  • Revenue per available room (RevPar)

The dashboard displays data per registered property in Mews for multi-property enterprises.

The system loads data into the dashboard every 12 hours, and data is usually between 8 - 12 hours old. Updated data is available every day at 9:00 UTC and at 21:00 UTC.

Note: The exact time might vary based on the amount of data contained in the update.

Data parameters:

  • Last Refresh: UTC timestamp of the last report refresh.
  • Latest Records: UTC timestamp of the most recent data that the dashboard displays. The dashboard does not reflect any changes in Mews post this time.
  • Currency: The local currency, as per the dashboard selection. Note: You can select different currencies. The system recalculates to your selected currency, based on actual exchange rates.
  • Taxation: The taxation type, as per the dashboard selection. For example, Net. Note: You can modify the taxation type using the filters. You can learn more about filters in Mews Analytics here
  • UserId: The identity code of the user.

Note: The dashboard recalculates all figures in the selected currency based on actual exchange rates.

Manager analytics displays metrics regarding your revenue, occupancy, Average Daily Rate (ADR), and Revenue per available room (RevPar), that Mews Analytics calculates from data across your property(s). The dashboard is divided into the following tabs, where you can filter and view different data displayed for each tab.

You can learn more about the other available filters here.

You can use the Dashboard to analyze your revenue, RevPar, ADR, and Occupancy. It is useful to gain a general understanding of your property's operations, at-a-glance.

Click between the main metrics at the top of the sheet, as above, to show detailed information about each, and a breakdown of each calculation. You can click Dashboard details or YoY Comparison to access two in-depth sheets which expand on your Dashboard information. Use the arrow icons that appear, to navigate back to the main tab:

  • Dashboard details: Click for graphs showing your revenue and cancellation stats. If you want to check monthly results, you can use the filters to compare data month-on-month instead of year-on-year.

Daily

The Daily tab is useful for setting and tracking monthly targets. It shows essential stats like ADR, revenue, and occupancy day-by-day. You can also see a chart tracking occupancy for the month.

The system breaks down your revenue by space category, rate, and travel agency. Click on Blockings or Booking details to see a further breakdown of the data:

  • Blockings: See a list of blocked spaces, with detailed information as to why those spaces are blocked. Note: Default filtering on the Dashboard and Daily tables refers to the reservation date, not the creation date.

  • Booking details: Find a detailed list of reservations within the date range you select. You can see future as well as past reservations.

Notes:

  • The date range shown in the Marketing tab in Manager Analytics is the reservation creation date / time frame.
  • For Marketing, the default filter is the reservation creation date. This is the same for Bookings and Bookings Window tabs.

This tab provides a breakdown of guests' personal information, which is useful to create well-informed, targeted marketing campaigns and to better understand guests.

This tab is useful to see how many bookings are resulting from specific travel agencies or companies. This dashboard also helps keep you up to date with corporate partners. You can choose to show reservations by their creation date, check-in, or check-out date, depending on the filters you choose. The data is sorted by Travel agencies, Companies and Groups. Click to expand segments to show which properties and room types are attributed to each reservation.

Notes

  • The default filter setting is the creation date.
  • When you click between the Travel agency, Company, and Groups tabs, the data itself stays the same, but is grouped by segment.

 Bookings - manager analytics .png

This tab is useful to check how many more reservations you need to pick up for future time periods. It also helps with understanding how far in advance your guests are typically booking. You can also see information on lead times, the time between the creation of a reservation and its check-in.

Booking window - manager anayltics .png

  • Booking window before arriving (in days): The bar chart shows the split of lead time across categories, based on the number of days between booking and staying. It also breaks each category into origins.
  • Lead time buckets (tables): The tables show lead time per travel agency and lead time for individual reservations.

You can use the data in Manager analytics to get insights into your revenue, occupancy, Average Daily Rate (ADR), and Revenue per available room (RevPar) and more. You can learn more about refining data using Mews Analytics, and the additional ways of filtering your view here
