How to use Smart Tasks in Mews Operations

Note

  • Smart Tasks is currently in Open Beta for properties with the Advanced Guest Experience. The feature is opt-in. Contact your Customer Success manager to enable it for your property.

Smart Tasks is an artificial intelligence-powered feature in Mews that surfaces action-oriented suggestions directly on a reservation or guest profile the moment you need them. Each Smart Task represents a specific action a staff member can complete in one step, for example, arranging an early check in for a loyalty guest or suggesting an amenity based on loyalty. The suggestions are generated by an agent that reads reservation and guest profile data. Once you configure your property context, the agent only suggests tasks that are possible and relevant for your property. Front desk managers and operations staff use Smart Tasks during their daily workflow, at check in, throughout the day, and during morning reviews, to act on relevant suggestions in a single step, without manually hunting through reservations.

You can find Smart Tasks in three places in Mews Operations:

  • On the Timeline view in the Reservations tab, where the system shows suggestions for relevant reservations when you need them.
  • In the Daily Digest, a consolidated view designed for morning reviews, where you can see all outstanding Smart Tasks across multiple reservations in one place.
  • In the Guest Profile, where the system shows relevant Smart Tasks for specific guests.
