Mews BI (Business Intelligence) is the analytics and reporting product of the Mews operating system, generally available since April 2026. It provides curated dashboards, trend analysis and financial insight drawn directly from Mews Operations data, refreshing every two hours. All Mews customers have access to Mews BI with pre-built curated dashboards. Mews BI Pro extends it with an AI Executive Summary, custom dashboards and external data connectors; it is included in the Enterprise, Portfolio and Brand subscription tiers or available as a paid add-on in the Mews Marketplace.

In this article you can learn about how to:

01 Get started

1.1 Prerequisites

Mews Operations must be live. Two configuration steps are required before metrics populate correctly:

(1) the property admin must accept the Mews BI terms and conditions in-product;

(2) Accounting category classifications must be mapped to the appropriate account categories. Without the classifications, ADR, RevPAR and room revenue metrics display as zero.

1.2 How onboarding works

  1. Activation: Mews BI is enabled on the account, and the admin accepts the terms and conditions.

  1. Configuration: Accounting category classifications are confirmed, so revenue metrics map correctly.

  1. Historical data: Optionally, up to 5 years of prior performance data is uploaded using the in-product Excel templates; Business Intelligence > Budget, forecast and history > Download template.

  1. Access: Users are added to the correct workspace groups; portfolio dashboards are visible to admin users assigned to the portfolio workspace.

1.3 Indicative activation timeline

Same day to a few days from activation for standard setups. Dashboards populate from the point of correct configuration; historical metrics depend on the optional data upload.

1.4 What the Partner needs to provide

  • Acceptance of the Mews BI terms and conditions by the property admin

  • Correct accounting category classification in Mews Operations, for example, Accommodation classification for room revenue

  • Historical data in the provided Excel template, if you need multi-year trends from day one

  • Budgets and forecasts, if you need budget-versus-actual reporting
