Receive reservations using the DerbySoft channel manager for Mews Operations

This integration with DerbySoft channel manager enhances the global reach of your property by distributing rates and availability from Mews Operations. This robust two-way connection allows you to configure the integration within Mews Operations, ensuring that all changes in rates, availability, and restrictions are synced with DerbySoft. As a result, reservations flow directly into Mews Operations, offering a streamlined approach to channel management and reservations handling. 
 

Note

  • If you're already live with Mews, Mews does not configure the entire channel manager integration for you. If you have any problems fixing the mapping errors within Mews Operations, contact the Mews Support Team to help you troubleshoot. 
  • Make sure to purchase DerbySoft before connecting this integration. 
  • This integration is not supported with DerbySoft office. 
  • Group reservations with different rates or space categories will be shown as separate reservations in Mews Operations.

Step 1: Connect and configure the DerbySoft integration 

To connect and configure the DerbySoft integration, complete steps 1 – 3 in the article here. 

 

Map companies and travel agency contracts (optional) 

This step is optional. You should complete this only if you want to assign reservations received from the channel manager to a company in Mews Operations. 

 

For each travel agency profile, you want to map, complete the steps in the article here. 

 

Map channel manager age categories (optional

This step is optional. You should only complete this if you want reservations from the channel manager to include age category information. 

To receive reservations with age categories through your channel manager and correctly allocate each guest with a respective age category, you need to map them in the channel manager age category mapping.

 

To map channel manager age categories, follow the steps in the article here. 

 

Step 2: Send mapping information to DerbySoft 

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu Main menu icon in Mews Operations  > Marketplace > My subscriptions.
  2. Locate the DerbySoft integration and click Edit to go to the settings.
  3. Find and copy the Channel manager code, then send this to DerbySoft support.  Note: DerbySoft refers to this code as a "connection token". 

 

DerbySoft support pulls the Mews Operations mapping information to their system and instructs you on how to complete the mapping in DerbySoft. Once complete, proceed to the next step. 
 

  

Step 3: Test the integration 

Testing the integration allows you to check whether you configured the integration correctly. You can test this with a small set of reservations for the next 7 days.
