There may be instances when you need to reset your Mews user account password, for example, you need to change it for security reasons. Your Mews user account password needs to consist of 12 characters and include symbols or special characters.  

 

Mews automatically checks the strength of your password and prompts you to improve your password if it is weak or does not meet our password security standards. You can learn more about tips for a secure password here.  

 

You can also set up and use a password manager to store your passwords and other important information, for example, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) recovery codes. You can learn more here. 

 

Note: The Mews reset password and login screens automatically adjust to match the language of your browser’s language settings. If your browser language is other than the 5 core languages of Dutch, English, French, German or Spanish, the screen defaults to English.

Reset your user account password 

You can reset your user account password via the Mews sign-in screen.  

To do so: 

1. Open Mews Operations.  
2. On the sign-in screen, enter your Mews account email address, and click Continue. 

3. In the next screen that opens, click Forgot password?. 

 

4. Re-enter the email address associated with your Mews account. Mews sends you a link to reset your password.  
5. Check your email inbox. 
6. If you don't see an email in your inbox: 
   • Check your Spam and Bulk Mail folders. 
   • Search for "Mews password reset" in your inbox. 
   • Add [email protected] to your address book. 
7. To request another email, repeat steps 2-6. 
8. Click on the link in the email you receive to create a new password. 
9. Enter a new password for your Mews user account. Mews automatically checks your password strength and prompts you to improve it if it does not meet our password security standards. To update it, click Change password and follow the instructions on the screen. To reset it later, click Skip for now to go directly to the dashboard. 

Note: Your Mews user account password needs to consist of 12 characters and include symbols or special characters. 

4. Click Save. 

 

This resets your Mews user account password, and you can now log in with your new password.
