• Room identification: Room number and space type for each blocked room.
• Block status: Type of block, such as out of order, out of service, or house use.

• Current availability impact: Visibility into how blocked rooms affect sellable inventory.

1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu > Business Intelligence > Overview. 

2. Locate and select the Blocked room tracker dashboard.

Using the Blocked rooms tracker dashboard

The Blocked rooms tracker dashboard supports operational control and maintenance planning. It helps you:

• Track long-term blocks: Identify rooms blocked for extended periods.
• Prioritize maintenance: Focus on rooms that have the highest revenue impact.
• Improve inventory accuracy: Ensure blocked rooms reflect real operational needs.
• Coordinate departments: Align front office, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.

Data filters

You can refine blocked rooms data using dashboard filters:

• Date: Analyze blocked rooms within a specific period.
• Property: Review blocked rooms for one or multiple locations.

To filter the full dashboard:

1. In the dashboard view, locate the filters in the top bar.
2. Select the filter field, for example, Date or Room status.
3. Choose your criteria.
4. Click Apply.
