The Rate groups screen

The Rate groups screen displays all the rate groups you create. You can use rate groups to optimize revenue management during both your high demand and low demand seasons. They provide flexibility since you can group rates using the same cancellation and payment policies together. You can use the rate group screen to view, create, modify or delete your rate groups at any time.  

To view the rate groups screen in Mews Operations, go to the main menu   > Settings > Select a Bookable service > Rate groups.

Setting the filters 

You can filter the Rate groups screen according to specific fields. To filter: 

  1. Click next to the field you want to filter, for example, Payment policies.
  2. Enter the term you want to find. 

This filters the rate group. You can add multiple filters to narrow your search further.  

 

Understanding the fields 

The Rate groups screen contains the following columns: 

  • Name: The name of the rate group.  
  • Rates: The rates you include in this rate group.  
  • Payment policies: The payment policies you apply to this rate group.  
  • Cancellation policies: The cancellation policies you apply to this rate group.  
  • Online check-in payment details: The payment card setting you apply to this rate group, such as, Hidden or Required.  
  • Policy exceptions: The status of the policy exceptions you apply to this rate group, such as, Active, Expired or Scheduled. Note: This feature is only available for properties on the Pro and Enterprise packages.   
  • Ordering: The order in which you want Mews to list your rate groups. Note: Lower number positions are higher in the list, for example, 0 is higher than 1. 

 

Using the Rate groups screen  

In the Rate groups screen, you can: 

  • Create a new rate group. 
  • Modify or delete existing rate groups. 
  • Click a rate to view the Rates tab, you can then click Edit to view and modify your Rates screen.  
  • Copy the rate group ID by clicking   > Copy rate group ID
