Mews has multiple services enabled, so properties can build services such as Office, Meeting room, Parking, and Campsite in Mews. Within these services, properties can create Space categories with the appropriate Space types.

For example, properties can build a variety of services using dedicated Space types such as Parking spot, Meeting room, Office, and Desk to target business travelers. Likewise, properties offering outdoor experiences to their guests can build services with dedicated Space types such as Caravan/ RV, Tent, and Campsite.

Benefits of using the various Space types 

Following are the benefits of using the various Space types:  

• Mews displays the appropriate Space types throughout the system. 
• Properties offering Parking, Offices, Meeting Rooms, Campsites, etc., can use these Space types and easily filter by them in the reports.  
• Your system data and reporting are more precise. Reports display the correct information for all the different services that you offer, for example, Offices, Meeting rooms, Parking, Campsite, to name a few. 

 

How to build a service with a specific Space type 

To build a service with a specific Space type: 

1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu  > Settings > Services.
2. Click + and then click on the bookable service you want to build with a specific Space type.  
3. Click on Space categories and then click + to add a new Space category. 
4. Fill in the necessary details. In the Space type field, you can choose the desired space type from the drop-down menu. For example, Parking spot, Desk, Team area, Tent, or Campsite. Pricing of Space types 

The price of the Space types depends on the tiers they belong to. The property's contract defines the specific price. Mews lists the various types as follows: 

• Small tier: Bed, Desk, Parking spot, Campsite and Bike.
• Medium tier: Apartment, Room, Dorm, Suite, Meeting room, Office, Team area, Tent, Villa, and Caravan/RV.  
• Large tier: Site and Conference room.
