After you create a space category, you can modify it as well as add images to it so that customers can view them in the booking engine.

Note: In order to modify space categories, employees need the Configure service permission. Learn about updating employee profiles.

In this article you can learn about how to:

 

Modify a space category

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu Screenshot_2.png > Settings > Services.
  2. Click on your bookable service.
  3. On the left, click Space categories.
  4. Click on the space category you want to modify.
  5. Modify the space category details as required.
  6. Click Save.
Note: When renaming your space category, if the language selection in your profile is different than the language of your space category. 

For example: If your profile language is English (British) and the space category name is in English (United States) then to rename the space category:
  1. Enter the new name in the Name field.
  2. Click on the Add translation drop down menu and
  3. Choose English (British) and enter the new name for the space category in this language as well.
  4. Click Save.
 

Add images  

You can add multiple images of the space category to display them in the Mews Booking Engine. If you don't add an image of the space category, the booking engine uses your sign-in image instead. To add images:

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu Screenshot_2.png > Settings > Services.
  2. Click on your bookable service.
  3. On the left, click Space categories.
  4. Click on the space category you want to add an image for.
  5. To upload the picture,
    • if you can see the file name in your documents, drag it into the drop-zone.
    • if not, click inside the drop-zone and search for the file by name.
  6. Click Add.
Repeat steps 4 - 6 for every image of the space category you want to display in the booking engine.
If you add multiple images of the space category, you can click the image.pngicon next to an image,
  • to delete the image or
  • change the order that the images appear in the booking engine.

Mews supports JPG and PNG image formats. For best results, Mews recommends you upload high-resolution photos.
