How to assign spaces to employees for housekeeping using the Mews app

To assign spaces to employees for housekeeping purposes using the Mews app:

1. In the Spaces tab, tap on . This opens the Assign spaces to employees screen.
2. Use Filter spaces to filter based on:
   • Space types: Tap to select the space types you want to assign, such as room, dorm, apartment.
   • Status: Tap to select the space’s status.
     • Clean: Clean spaces that need inspection.
     • Dirty: Dirty spaces that need cleaning and inspection.
     • Inspected: Already inspected spaces, if needed.
     • Out of order: Spaces in need of major repair.
     • Out of service: Spaces in need of minor repair.
   • Floors: Tap to select spaces from one or multiple floors.
   • Reservations: Tap to select the spaces assigned to one or multiple reservations. Note: By default, Mews filters for all types of reservations.  
     • Stayover: Guests stay overnight and neither arrive nor depart on the day.  
     • Checked in: Guests have arrived and completed check-in.
     • Arriving: Guests arrive on the day.
     • Checked out: Guests completed check-out and departed.
     • Departing: Guests depart on the day.
     • Used: Any space in use or set to be used later in the day. You can also view spaces marked as Out of Order.
     • Vacant: Any unoccupied space.
   • Space category: Tap to select one or multiple space categories. 

3. From Assign filter spaces select the employee and the spaces you want to assign them to.
   • Assignee: Type in the name of the employee you want to assign to certain spaces. Note: You can assign each space to one person only.
   • Spaces: Tap to select the spaces you want to assign to your employee. 

4. Tap Assign. 

This assigns the selected spaces to your employee.

Your employees can view all the spaces assigned to them by tapping on  and filtering based on the Assignee.
