To comply with Swedish Tax Agency regulations, each property must use a certified control unit and have a properly configured register in Mews POS. To view the cash register information:

1. In Mews POS, go to the main menu   > Settings > Integrations.
2. Under Registers, you can view:
   • Manufacturing number: MWSXXXXXXXXXXX
   • Cash Control Unit ID: ISTCSKSVERIFY0001
   • Register model: 4.x.x
   • Register make:Mews POS SE

This displays the cash register information in Mews POS.

Note:

• Mews provides the Register model and make details as the manufacturer of the POS to satisfy the requirements laid out in SKVFS 2014:9 Chapter 4, § 3–4.
• Infrasec provides the manufacturing number and Cash Control Unit ID details as the producer of the certified control unit. Mews communicates with Infrasec when properties enable the Swedish fiscal registry integration, in line with SKVFS 2014:9 Chapter 4, §§ 6–7.

When closing a bill, Mews automatically communicates with the control unit. You must wait for the control unit to respond before is prints the bill.

Note: If the control unit is temporarily unavailable, Mews prints the receipt but does not include the fiscalization fields. Mews blocks the rest of the operation until it restores communication with the Infrasec. Once it restores communication, you need to reprint the invoice to fiscalize it.

Swedish law regulates printed bills following strict guidelines. Here is what you can and cannot do:

• You can print one original receipt.
• You can print one copy of the receipt.
• You cannot print additional copies after the first copy.

Note: To avoid complications, you can save a PDF version of the receipt before you print it, or locate it in the mail queue if you email it to the guest or company.

To print a bill:

1. After closing the bill, select Print to generate the original.
2. If needed, select Print a second time to generate one additional version.

This prints a bill.

Each printed bill must contain the following details to comply with SKVFS 2014:9 Chapter 7 § 1. The Swedish cash register integration adds these to each bill the system generates:

• Company name and registration number
• Property address
• Date and time of the sale
• Sequential receipt number
• Cash register ID
• Item and service descriptions
• Sales amounts including and excluding tax
• Tax breakdown and payment method
• Control unit manufacturing number
• Control Code

The Audit log records all relevant actions that occur in the system, including price changes, sales, orders and receipt printing. Swedish fiscal regulations require these records to ensure traceability and compliance. In the audit log, you can download any reports you have previously generated.

To download previously generated reports from the Audit log:

1. In Mews POS, go to the main menu > Settings > Audit log.
2. In the new screen, click All events.
3. Click to select the report you want to download, for example, Z report generated or X report generated.
4. Click the event name.
5. Click Download as PDF.

This downloads previously generated reports from the Audit log.
