Generate police reports for Ticino

The Ticino police export integration automatically generates police reports for the Ticino police.

The integration:

  • creates the reports in the format that the law in Ticino requires, and
  • automatically sends it to desired property email addresses.
Note: This is not a direct integration. You need to manually upload the generated report on the Ticino police platform.
 
The integration creates the reports per property account in Mews Operations. If local authorities require that you create reports per address, rather than one report for your entire enterprise, you should:
  1. Create a Ticino police export integration for each address, and
  2. Select all of the space categories located at that address when you set up the integration.

How to set up the integration

To set up the Ticino police export integration:
  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu Screenshot_2.png > Marketplace.
  2. In the Legal environment section, under the Ticino police export integration, click Explore. 
  3. Then click Connect integration.
  4. Fill in your property’s information.
  • Use the Space category field to choose which space categories you want to include in the report. This field is useful if you need to create reports per address. Just select all of the space categories located at one address. Note: If you don't specify space categories, the report includes all of your space categories.
  • In the Recipient emails field, enter the email address you want to send the export to. This should be someone at your property who sends the export to the Ticino police.
  • The Property Code is a mandatory field for the integration to correctly export the report. The Police provide this to you. It is also called "ID Struttura" or Codice Struttura".
  • If you want to send the police report at a specific time each day, in the Daily report execution time field, enter the amount of time past midnight to send the report. For example, setting Daily report execution time to 10 minutes sends the report each day, at 00:10.
  1. Click Create.
  2. Click Save.

After you receive this report, you can upload it to the Ticino Cantonal police website.

Note: It is extremely important that all customer profile report integrations are set to the correct mode to ensure the consistency of exported data. If you don't use the correct mode, the export fails with an error message. Mews exports all police reports only in the mode that is legally accepted. Mews creates this report with the Arrival mode by default.
