How to add an order to Mews from a POS?

To add a charge to Mews from a point of sale, search for the customer in your POS system. Mews returns the relevant customer profile via Mews Connector, including guests' classification (blocklist, cashlist, etc.).

 

Why can't I find the name of the guest when trying to make a room charge?

 

To post a charge in Mews from the POS, the guest doesn't need to be checked-in or even have a reservation.

 

  • If the guest has a reservation, make sure they are entered as a companion: Add a guest to the reservation

  • If you want to charge a customer that has no reservation at all, you can create a Paymaster profile and transfer the charges there: Create a paymaster
