The quote template in Mews Events defines how your services and offers appear when your customers receive quotes.
Using the quote template in Mews Events, you can:
- Customize branding with logos, images, and contact details
- Configure payment, billing information, and cancellation policies.
- Set up venue finders and contact email preferences
Note: You need to configure the quote template before you can create quotes.
To access Quote template, in Mews Events, go to the main menu > Settings > Quote template.

Step 1: Configure Commercial presentation
This section customizes the appearance of your quote, including branding and promotional content. Here, you can highlight the best your property has to offer, for example, you can add engaging information about your spaces or the restaurant. You can view the changes you apply to the quote on the right-hand side of the Commercial presentation screen.
Adding your logo and images
- Click Commercial presentation to expand the section:
- Click Customize.
- Configure Header:
- Click Logo to expand the section.
- Click Add photo and add your logo image. Note: The image size cannot exceed 2MB.
- Click Quote header logo to expand the section.
- Click Add your quote header logo image. Note: The image size cannot exceed 2MB.
- Click Cover image to expand the section.
- Import your logo image. Note: The image size cannot exceed 2MB.
- Click Save to keep your changes in this section only or click Next to save your changes and continue with the configuration.
Adding property details
- In the Section title field, type the section title to customize the title. It defaults to “Details”.
- Click Pictures to expand the section.
- Add 3 images to promote your property. They show in your quote, and you can add image description. For details, see 5.
- Click Summary to expand the section.
- Use the editor fields to add descriptive information corresponding to each image you added in 3.
- Click Your location to expand the section.
- Use the editor field to add descriptive information about your location, for example, specify the distance from the nearest airport, or city center.
- Click Your contact information to expand the section.
- Add your contact information:
- First name
- Last name
- Address
- Post/ZIP code
- City
- Phone
- Use the Map zoom buttons to adjust the map zoom level for accurate location display.
- Click Your social media to expand the section.
- Add links to your social media, for example, Instagram.
- Click Save to keep your changes in this section only or click Next to save your changes and continue with the configuration.
Adding Room, Seminar room and Restaurant details
Configure the following:
- Rooms: Add images, descriptions, check-in/out times.
- Seminar Rooms: Highlight event spaces and facilities.
- Restaurant: Promote dining options with images and descriptions.
- Extras: Showcase additional services with photos.
- Quote Upsales: Add promotional items to upsell additional services.
Configure Rooms
- In the Section title field, type the section title to customize the title. It defaults to “Rooms”.
- Click Pictures to expand the section.
- Add 3 images to promote your rooms. They show in your quote, and you can add an informative description. For details, see 5.
- Click Summary to expand the section.
- Use the editor field to add descriptive information corresponding to images you added in 3.
- Click Check-in & Check-out to expand the section.
- Type the following information:
- Check-in time
- Check-out time
- Reception availability
- Click Furthermore to expand the section.
- Use the editor field to add descriptive information about your rooms.
- Click Save to keep your changes in this section only or click Next to save your changes and continue with the configuration.
Configure Seminar rooms
- In the Section title field, type the section title to customize the title. It defaults to “Seminar rooms”.
- Click Pictures to expand the section.
- Add 3 images to promote your spaces. They show in your quote, and you can add an informative description. For details, see 5.
- Click Summary to expand the section.
- Use the editor field to add descriptive information corresponding to images you added in 3.
- Click Furthermore to expand the section.
- Use the editor field to add descriptive information about your spaces.
- Click Save to keep your changes in this section only or click Next to save your changes and continue with the configuration.
Configure Restaurant
- In the Section title field, type the section title to customize the title. It defaults to “Restaurant”.
- Click Pictures to expand the section.
- Add 3 images to promote your restaurant. They show in your quote, and you can add an informative description. For details, see 5.
- Click Summary to expand the section.
- Use the editor field to add descriptive information corresponding to images you added in 3.
- Click Furthermore to expand the section.
- Use the editor field to add descriptive information about your restaurant.
- Click Save to keep your changes in this section only or click Next to save your changes and continue with the configuration.

Configure Extras
- In the Section title field, type the section title to customize the title. It defaults to “Extras”.
- Click Pictures to expand the section.
- Add 3 images to promote your extras. They show in your quote, and you can add an informative description. For details, see 5.
- Click Summary to expand the section.
- Use the editor field to add information corresponding to images you added in 3.
- Click Furthermore to expand the section.
- Use the editor field to add descriptive information about your extras.
- Click Save to keep your changes in this section only or click Next to save your changes and continue with the configuration.
Configure Quote upsales
- In the Section title field, type the section title to customize the title. It defaults to “Quote upsale”.
- Click + Add an upsale.
- Click Upsell no. 1 to expand the section.
- Add an image to promote your upsell.
- Use the editor field to add an informative description.
- Click + Add an upsale to add more items.
- Click Save to keep your changes.
Step 2: Configure Header
The header you configure in this section shows in documents corresponding to your quote, for example, on proforma invoices.
- On the template main page, click Header to expand the section.
- Add property details:
- Property name
- Company legal name
- Street address
- Post/ZIP code
- City
- SIRET number
- VAT number
- Click Save.
Step 3: Configure Billing
- On the template main page, click Billing to expand the section.
- Add billing details:
- RCS number
- IBAN
- Name to show on invoice
- Bank
- BIC
- Optionally, use the text editor to add comments.
- Click Save.
Step 4: Configure Cancellation policies
- On the template main page, click Cancellation policies to expand the section.
- Select the default cancellation policy you want to use for your quotes.
- Click Save.
Step 5: Configure Payment
- On the template main page, click Payment to expand the section.
- From the dropdown menu, select the event plan to configure the corresponding payment type and validity period.
- Configure Payment type and Validity period of the quote.
- Optionally, click to select the Firm option checkbox to block the spaces for the entire period of the quote.
- To set up deposit requirements, click Add deposit and configure the deposit percentage and the deadline for payment of the deposit before arrival.
- Click Save.
Step 6: Configure Signature
The signature you configure in this section appears on contracts next to the customer signature after the system creates a PDF file with the contract.
- On the template main page, click Signature to expand the section.
- Click Add or edit your signature.
- Use the editor field to draw your signature:
- Click Validate. Address potential errors, as needed. Note: You can only add one signature.
- Click Save.
Step 7: Configure Quote venue finders
A venue finder is a third-party, for example, a wedding planner, that contacts your property for a quote. Setting up venue finders helps you tag quotes easily and select the relevant one. The selected venue finder appears in Analytics, allowing you to track the revenue they generate.
- On the template main page, click Quote venue finders to expand the section.
- Click + Add.
- Provide the title for the venue finder.
- Click Save.
Step 8: Configure contact email
- On the template main page, click Information contact email to expand the section.
- To use contact information directly from the quote and not the template, click to select the Use quote information checkbox. This ensures that the quote template settings do not override details from the Mews Events account.
- To customize the information of the person sending emails that contain quotes, configure the following:
- Phone
- Contact email
- Full name of the person sending email
- Use the editor field to customize the closing paragraph of your email.
- Click Save.
This creates a quote template for your property. You can further customize your quotes during quote creation.
