How to create Mews University accounts and assign learning paths for new Mews PMS users

Mews University is an e-learning platform created to empower staff within the Mews ecosystem by providing comprehensive training and onboarding resources. You do not need to manually create a Mews University account for your property staff. The Mews system automatically creates Mews University accounts for new Mews PMS accounts. You can then select a Learning path for each new user at the time of user creation, and the Mews team takes care of the rest. If you need to deactivate or remove a Mews University user account, when your property admin or manager deactivates a user account in Mews PMS, the system automatically removes the associated account from Mews University.

How does the Mews system create learner accounts?

When you create a new Mews PMS user, Mews University creates a new learner account. The system then:

  1. Enrolls learners in role-based learning paths.
    • On account creation, the system automatically enrolls learners in the learning path that matches their roles. There is more information in the help article on Mews University learning paths. Note: Users can already log in an hour after the system creates their learning path by resetting their password.
  1. Sends email notification to users.
    • The system sends learners an email from [email protected] with instructions for them to log into Mews University and begin learning. Note: Users receive email communications within 24 hours of account creation, typically at 10:00 CET the following day.

 

How to select a learning path for new users

Mews University learning paths are role-focused and determine which Mews university courses and certifications the system registers the user to. Learn more in our help article on learning paths.

To select a learning path for a new user:

  1. Follow the instructions in Add or remove a user in Mews Operations to create a new user.
  2. From the dropdown menu, select a Learning path appropriate to the user’s role.
  3. Complete the user creation and click Send invite.

When the new user creation is complete, the system automatically creates a corresponding Mews University account for that user.
