Leverage Analytics in Mews Events to optimize quotes and event bookings

The Analytics page in Mews Events helps you quickly analyze the performance of quotes and interactions with customers over a specified time. This can be valuable for identifying trends in booking, understanding conversion rates, and spotting inefficiencies in the quote process. 

To access Analytics, in Mews Events, go to main menu icon > Analytics

The Quotes dashboard 

The Quotes dashboard helps you track signed quotes, customer and hotel rejections, and the average time to customer acceptance. It includes key metrics, for example, requests per week and the overall quote acceptance rate. These metrics allow properties to monitor trends and optimize event sales.  The Analytics page in Mews Events 

 

Selecting the desired Reference period and Comparison period allows you to directly compare key metrics across time periods, giving a clear sense of how performance is evolving. Make sure to toggle between viewing the data Before taxes or All taxes included to get an accurate understanding of the financial implications. 

 

Analyzing key metrics 

Use the provided analytics to understand the efficiency of your quotes, for example

  • The Signed quotes and Quote requests values help you understand how many quotes your customers requested, their acceptance rate, and how many quotes turned into signed deals. 
  • Use the Requests/week metric to evaluate the flow of new requests. If the Acceptance rate is low, investigate whether you may need to change the pricing or adjust client communication. 
  • You can track rejections using the Client Rejections and Hotel Rejections values. They give insights into potential friction points. If rejection numbers are high, consider reaching out to clients for feedback to understand if you need to adjust the quote flow. This information is critical for iterating on the sales or communication approach to minimize future rejections. 
  •  By analyzing the Turnover by segment values, you can identify the most important customer group, allowing you to adjust your offerings to prioritize this segment. It helps you understand which segment generates the most revenue is essential for optimizing your property's performance. 
  • This data-driven approach ensures that you are focusing on high-value guests, maximizing revenue opportunities, and delivering tailored services to meet their specific needs. 

 

The Room rental dashboard 

Use the Room rental dashboard to identify which room types are most frequently booked at your property. By analyzing this data, you can adjust your offerings to prioritize higher-demand rooms and optimize pricing strategies accordingly. 

 

The Accommodation dashboard 

The Accommodation dashboard provides insights into turnover, reserved nights, and average room price, helping you to track revenue and occupancy. Low occupancy or turnover can signal a need for promotions or price changes, while high demand might justify raising prices. By using this data, properties can optimize room performance and increase profitability through data-driven decisions.

 

By actively monitoring and acting on insights from Analytics, your team can make smarter decisions, enhance guest satisfaction, and drive better business results.
