Managing services offered through Mews Events

In Accommodation you can add and then manage rooms and spaces available at your property for events.  

To create an accommodation space, click the + Create space button and configure your accommodation offering as required. 

Configuring accommodation settings: 

• In General information, you can enable the setting if you want to hide some room prices in the booking engine when connected to Mews Operations (PMS). If you want the prices to be visible, then you can disable this setting. 
• If your property does not sync with Mews Operations, you must manually enter room rates in each quote. Note: You must configure the tourist tax in Mews Events settings. 
• To synchronize spaces with Mews Operations, click Sync with PMS to update room rates automatically. 
• To reorder items in the booking engine, click and drag services to adjust their position.

With the Catering section you can add and manage menu options and service packages. 

To add a catering service, click the + Add service button and then configure as required.

Configuring catering settings: 

• In General information, you can enable the setting if you want to hide some catering prices in the booking engine. If you want the prices to be visible, then you can disable this setting. 
• The prices set here do not sync with Mews Operations. 

In Seminar you can configure seminar spaces, coffee breaks, and other seminar-related offerings.  

To add your Seminar service, click + Add service button and then configure as required. 

Configuring seminar settings: 

• In General information, you can enable the setting if you want to hide some seminar prices in the booking engine. If you want the prices to be visible, then you can disable this setting. 
• Prices set here do not sync with Mews Operations. 
• For Spaces, you can: 
  • Ignore availability when offering rooms in the booking engine. 
  • Disable seminar room choice for workshops and residential seminars. 

The Public spaces section works similarly to Seminar but includes predefined time slots for bookings. 

To add public spaces, click + Add service button and then configure as required. 

Configuring private spaces settings: 

• In General information, you can: 
  • Enable the setting if you want to hide some private space prices in the booking engine. If you want the prices to be visible, then you can disable this setting. 
  • Ignore room availability when offering spaces. 
  • Disable room choice for workshops and residential seminars. 
  • Set time-based availability percentages. For example, if your property rents seminar rooms in the morning and afternoon but never in the evening, the values are: 
    
    

Use + Add service to configure service types.  

The Activities section allows you to manage recreational services and additional offerings. 

To add an activity, click + Create activity button and then configure as required. 

Configuring the activities settings: 

In General information, you can enable the setting if you want to hide some activities prices in the booking engine. If you want the prices to be visible, then you can disable this setting.

In Supplementary service section you can manage your additional services, including external offerings like florists or transportation.  

To add supplementary services, click + Add a service button and then configure as required. 

Configuring supplementary services: 

• In General information, you can enable the setting if you want to hide some services prices in the booking engine. If you want the prices to be visible, then you can disable this setting. 

Note: Special offers do not appear in the booking engine. They are visible only to property sales representatives. 

In the Special offers section, you can create discounts and complimentary services for commercial proposals. 

To add a special offer such as a discounted service, click + Create free service button and then configure as required. 

Configuring special offers: 

• Use the free text fields to add descriptions of your offer.
