Using placeholders in "Bookable services" mail templates

You can use placeholders to customize all emails that Mews sends to your guests. When you use a placeholder to customize an email, you customize it for all bookings and not only for specific reservations. To use placeholders, in Mews Operations, go to the main menu Main menu icon    > Settings > Property > Guest experience > Mail templates. Read this article to learn more about customizing email templates.

Mews groups mail templates into two categories: Bookable services mail templates and General templates.

Automatic settlement failed

Mews sends this email automatically when automatic settlement fails, due to missing, incorrect payment details or insufficient funds.

Note: Mews doesn't send this email if the card is virtual.
