How to split a single order into multiple orders in the Mews POS Android app

In the Mews POS Android app, wait staff can split a single order into multiple orders to manage group payments, allocate items to individual customers or divide a bill for easier processing. They can do this on the open orders screen, where wait staff assign items or guests to a new order. Once split, payment is processed for each order individually, allowing for flexibility in handling multiple guests or payments at once.

 

To split a single order into multiple orders in the Mews POS Android app:

  1. Tap . The Open orders screen appears.
  2. Locate the open order you want to split and tap .
  3. Tap Split check. The Split check screen appears. It contains two windows, the system displays the current order in the left window and the new split order in the right window.

  1. In the left window tap + next to Covers to reduce the number by 1. The number under Covers on the new order in the right window increases by 1. Repeat this step to assign multiple guests to the new split order.
  2. Tap the name of the items in the left window to move them to the new split order in the right window.
  3. Tap Split. The Open orders screen appears. The new split order appears in the list with split 1 appended to the original order name.
  4. You can optionally repeat steps 2 to 6 to split the order into further orders.

 

This splits the order into multiple orders. You can now take payment for each order.
