What happens if I delete a rate?

Mews does not recommend deleting a rate completely but deactivating it instead. Editing or removing a rate in Mews Operations. 

 

What happens if I delete a rate?

 

• Any deleted rate stays attached to every past and future reservations.
• For future reservations, the price does not change unless the booking is manually modified.
• The rate continues to be shown on the reservation, however there will no longer be any rate data in the system.
• The deleted rate is not searchable in the reservation report when filtering by a specific rate. But it is still visible in the exported Excel report and when grouped by rates.
• You also need to delete the rate from any applicable Channel manager mappings, and the Channel Manager’s extranet.
