Why are manually created reservations not following the automatic payment policy?

When a reservation is created manually in Mews, the automatic payment is scheduled only if the card is confirmed and attached to the reservation prior to the rule. If the card is entered manually, the automation does not go through.

 

For a credit card to be attached to a reservation, it needs to come from the Channel Manager or the Booking Engine. If you enter the credit card manually, it needs to be confirmed by the guest in Online Guest Services.

 

Even if there is a credit card in the profile of the guest, it needs to be confirmed by them to make sure that the automatic payment is triggered.
