Why set up Booking.com direct rather than via Channel Manager?

Booking.com has a direct, two-way integration with Mews (free, regardless of your subscription tier) with the following benefits:

 

• Mews pulls Booking.com mapping which makes it easy to connect. You'll see all mapping codes directly in Mews.

• Mews checks for new reservations on Booking.com every 30 seconds, minimizing inventory discrepancies between Mews and Booking.com.

• Mews updates prices, restrictions, and availability on Booking.com.

• You can connect multiple Booking.com accounts to Mews. Just create a new Booking.com integration for each account. This works well for apartment groups, for example.

• Mews automatically reports invalid cards to Booking.com, so guests can update their payment method as fast as possible and you won't lose revenue.

 

Note: After you connect to the direct Booking.com integration, you won't be able to modify rates, availability, or restrictions in the Booking.com extranet. Instead, you have to update them straight from Mews Operations.
