Why shouldn't I forward the Confirmation email to my property’s generic email address?

Using generic email addresses, for example, [email protected] or [email protected], instead of a guest's authentic email address for communication can result in a violation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 

 

If you forward the confirmation email to the guest after using your own address in their profile, it can cause issues with online check-in. The property email address overrides the guest's details saved in their profile, leading to discrepancies.
