Allow guests to pay for minibar items during online check-out in Mews PMS

With Mews PMS you can configure your property’s minibar service to be available to guests during online check-out via the Guest Portal or via the Mews kiosk. This enables guests to add consumed minibar items to their bill during checkout.

 

To allow guests to pay for minibar items during checkout:

 

Enable online check-out in Bookable services

Ensure that the relevant bookable service is configured for online check-out:

1. From the Mews Main menu > go to Settings > Services.

2. Select the applicable bookable service.

3. Scroll to the Visit Option section > enable Enable online check-out.
   
    
   

 

Configure minibar as an additional service

If you haven’t done so yet, make sure your minibar service is configured as an additional service, and add products to the service as necessary.

 

Make the minibar service available at online check-out

Configure the minibar additional service to be offered to customers during online-checkout.

1. From the Mews Main menu> go to Settings > Services.

2. Select the additional service for your minibar.

3. Scroll down to Promotions and enable During check-out.
   
    
   

 

Your guests can now add minibar items to their bill during online check-out.
