How to create a central service from a local service in Mews Multi-Property

Before you begin

You need at least one property in your portfolio with a local service already configured. The pre-fill option pulls all available settings from that local service, including its name, ordering, housekeeping automations, pricing settings, and guest communication options.

Note: This is most useful when one property has already built and tested a well-configured local service. Using it as a template saves time and ensures consistency across your portfolio from day one.

How to create a central service from a local service

  1. In Mews Multi-Property, go to the main menu main menu  > Services.

Note: Creating a central service from a local service does not modify or remove the original local service. The local service remains unchanged in its property.

What gets pre-filled

The following settings carry over from the local service into the central service form:

  • Identity: Name, short name, and any existing translations.
  • Ordering and Mews service key.
  • Housekeeping automations: Clean on check-in, check-out, and inspection rules.
  • Pricing and revenue settings: City tax mode, billing, and payment options.
  • Guest experience and communication: Check-in type, email timing, and communication automations.

Note: You can edit all fields before you save.
