How to restore a canceled availability block

You can restore a canceled availability block in Mews Operations, if it is within the Operational editable history window. This is useful when you accidentally cancel a block, or your customer reconfirms a group reservation, so you don’t need to spend time recreating a new availability block. Only employees with Manage availability permission can restore a canceled availability block.

Note: Mews does not automatically restore canceled reservations when you restore a canceled block. You need to manually select the reservations you want to restore.

To restore a canceled availability block:

  1.  In Mews Operations,
  • on your Mews Dashboard, in the Occupancy section, click on Screenshot 2023-03-02 at 16.17.41.pngor,
  • go to the main menu Screenshot_2.png > Reservations > Availability block report.
  1. Click on the canceled availability block you want to restore.
  2. In the availability block page, from the drop-down, select the desired block status.

You can now see the block's new status on the availability block page.

Once you restore the block, you can pick up new reservations or restore any canceled reservations from the block. Note: Mews automatically reassigns the space inventory back to the block and removes it from public availability, so you do not need to make adjustments after restoring the block.
