You can use the Reservation report in Mews Operations to view all canceled reservations within a selected period. This helps you to:
- check if the system correctly charged the cancellation fees when applicable and
- understand the reasons for cancellations and potential revenue loss.
You can then make informed decisions on how to better meet your guests’ needs and optimize your revenue.
To view a report of your canceled reservations:
- In Mews Operations, open the Reservation report:
- on the Dashboard, in the Reservations section, click on
, or
- go to the main menu
> Reservations > Reservation report.
- on the Dashboard, in the Reservations section, click on
- Select the following filters:
- Mode: Click to select Detailed.
- Filter: Click to select Canceled.
- Start: Select a start date and time to restrict results to a specific time period. When running this report daily, select yesterday's date, 12:00 a.m.
- End: Select an end date and time to restrict results to a specific time period. When running this report daily, select yesterday's date, 11:59 p.m.
- Status: Select Cancelled and verify other options as needed.
- Group by: Click to select Cancellation reason to group reservations by the reasons for cancellation.
- Click View report.
This shows a report of all canceled reservations within your selected time period, grouped by the cancellation reason.
