Guidelines for Identity documents for the KYB process

This help article provides specific additional support for individuals or organizations in the process of completing their KYB check with Mews, in the form of guidelines for identity documents required for the KYB check. It is important that you begin by reading the KYB information provided by your Mews Sales Representative or the guidelines below.

 

In this article you can learn about guidelines for:

 

 

    Identity document for beneficial owners and company representative

    The ID document needs to be:

    • valid and not expired, 
    • in full color, well readable, high resolution, and not pixelated when zoomed in,
    • not cropped at all, with all edges and all 4 corners visible,
    • clear, with all data and face visible, without reflections/ glare overlaying the data on the document,
    • a photograph that is a close up and taken directly from above or scanned in color,
    • untampered, with no inscriptions, watermarks or modifications, 
    • In .png or .jpg format 

    Note: Mews does not accept photocopies of ID documents. 

    Accepted identity documents 

    Following are the accepted identity documents:

    • National Identity card: Photos of the front and back of the card.
    • Driving Licence/ Driver’s Licence: Photos of the front and back of the card.
    • Passport: Photo of the whole document, both adjacent data pages on one image.

    Note: The watermark in the documents is for illustration purposes only and should not be present in the submitted documents.
