Google Wallet is a digital wallet available on Android devices which allows users to store coupons, ID cards and more directly in their smartphone. Properties using Vingcard’s door locks and Vostio Access Management system can allow guests to add their room key to their Google Wallet. After completing their online check-in, guests can add the key to their wallet and use their mobile devices to unlock their doors. The Wallet-based Digital Key journey begins at the last step of a guest’s online check-in and ends when they unlock their room using the key.
Note:
- Guests who skip Add to wallet at the end of online check-in can also create their key directly from the Guest Portal homepage later.
- Guests who complete online check-in from a desktop device can add their key to their Google Wallet by scanning the QR code and following the steps below.
In this article you can learn about the following steps of the Wallet-based Digital Key journey for Android:
Step 1: Welcome screen
- When a guest completes their online check-in, the guest portal displays the Digital Key screen where they can tap Add to Google Wallet to start the process.
Step 2: Wallet sign-in
The system redirects guests to a new screen where they need to:
- Tap Accept and continue to add the key to their Google Wallet.
- Tap View in wallet to access it.
After adding the key to their wallet, the guest can use their device to unlock their room.
Step 3: Room access
Once the guest checks in, they can easily find their room and access it by tapping their device on the appropriate door lock.
