When you take reservations by phone calls or in person, you might need to take notes of some information, such as the reservation purpose, payment information, or special requirements. Mews helps you add notes to a reservation easily and paperless using the reservations management screen so you can access them at any time without losing them.
In this article, you can learn how to:
Add a note to a reservation
- In Mews Operations, from the top menu bar, click on
Timeline.
- Click on the reservation you want to add notes to, then click Manage. This opens the customer’s reservations management screen. Note: You can also access this screen by typing the guest's name in the Mews search bar > Dashboard > Manage. For reservations not yet checked in, click Dashboard > Details > Manage
- Click on the Properties tab.
Note: If the reservation is part of a group and you want to add the note to multiple reservations, make sure to select all those reservations from the right side of the screen.
- Add your note in the Notes section at the top.
- Click OK to save the note.
Edit or delete an existing note
- In Mews Operations, to access your reservation notes:
- Click on the Timeline. Then select the reservation you want to update the notes for.
- Click Manage > Properties or
- Type the customer’s name in the Mews search bar > Dashboard > Manage > Properties
Note: For reservations not yet checked in, click Dashboard > Details > Manage
- In the Notes section at the top, you can edit the note and click OK to save the changes or delete the note by clicking the
Delete icon.
