Receive reservations using the Busy Rooms channel manager for Mews Operations

The Busy Rooms channel manager integration enables you to distribute your property's rates and availability on a global scale, directly from Mews Operations. With its bidirectional functionality, this integration ensures that both availability and reservations are managed and updated in real-time between Mews Operations and Busy Rooms, offering a cohesive and efficient booking management experience.

 

Note: 

  • If you're already live with Mews, Mews does not configure the entire channel manager integration for you. If you have any problems fixing the mapping errors within Mews Operations, contact the Mews support team to help you troubleshoot.
  • Make sure to purchase Busy Rooms before connecting this integration.
  • This integration works in a gross pricing environment only.

Step 1: Connect and configure the Busy Rooms integration

To connect and configure the Busy Rooms integration, complete steps 1 – 3 in the article here.

 

Map companies and travel agency contracts (optional)

This step is optional. You should complete this only if you want to assign reservations received from the channel manager to a company in Mews Operations.

 

For each travel agency profile, you want to map, complete the steps in the article here.

 

Note:

  • Mews recommend that you only map the most specific reservation sources in Busy Rooms. You can learn more about this here
  • To map Busy Rooms CRO and CRS, you need to use the Busy Rooms mapping codes detailed below,
    • CRO -1
    • CRS -2

 

 

Step 2: Send mapping information to Busy Rooms

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu Mews Operations Menu Icon  > Marketplace My subscriptions.
  2. Locate the Busy Rooms integration and click Edit to go to the settings. 
  3. Find and copy the Channel manager codeNote: Busy Rooms refers to this code as a "connection token."
  4. Send this to Busy Rooms support at [email protected].

Busy Rooms support pulls the Mews Operations mapping information to Busy Rooms and instructs you on how to complete the mapping in Busy Rooms. Once complete, continue to the next step.

 

Step 3: Test the integration

Testing the integration allows you to check whether you configured the integration correctly. You can test this with a small set of reservations for the next 7 days.
