Can I change the charging option of products?

The charging option of a product cannot be changed after the product is created, so that existing reservations are not affected by the change. 

 

You have two ways to change the charging option of a product:

 

  • If the change only applies to new reservations: create a new product and stop using the old one.
  • If the change applies to all existing reservations, follow these steps:
    1. Create the new product.
    2. Create two product rules: one to remove the old product from reservations and one to add the new product.
    3. Open a ticket with the Mews Support team to run a job to update all reservations in bulk.

 

Note: Only Stay products can have the Per night or Per person Per night charging option.
