How to change the reservation details in Mews Operations

You can change specific reservation details in Mews Operations, such as the arrival, departure dates, or the number of guests, when you need to adjust guest information, manage booking adjustments, or correct errors. This helps you meet your guest’s needs and maintain accurate records. You change the reservation details from the Properties tab of the Reservations management screen.

To change the reservation details in Mews Operations: 

  1. In the search bar, enter the reservation’s Confirmation number, space number, or group name.
  2. Click the reservation and then click the Properties tab.

    • To add one or multiple notes about the reservation, in the Notes section: 
      • Add note: Enter your note, for example, special requests from guests or if the guests celebrate a special event, such as a birthday. 
    • To change the arrival or departure details: 
    • To adjust the guest numbers:
      • Enter the number of guests for each age category you configured for your service.
      • Keep old price: Check the box if you want to maintain the old price. Note: You can only change the price within your Operational editable history.

Reservation's Properties view, bottom section   

  • To change the assigned space category:
      • Assigned category: Click to select a different space category.

      • Update price: Check the box to update the price for the newly selected category. Mews shows the price update. Note: You can only update the price once you update the requested category. Mews disables the update price checkbox by default.

      • Update requested category: Check the box to update the requested category together with the assigned category.

    • To modify the booking information:
      • Booking Purpose: Click to select the purpose of the booking, Business, Leisure, or Student.
      • Segment: Click to select a segment to classify your reservation according to your reporting needs.
    • Origin: Click to select the origin of the reservation, such as Website, Message, Email, Channel.
    • Booker: Enter or change the booker.
    • Company: Enter or change the company associated with the reservation.
    • Travel Agency: Enter or change the travel agency associated with the reservation. 
    • Purchase order number: Enter or change the purchase order number associated with the reservation.
  1. Click OK for each detail you update. 

You can view the details updated instantly in your Properties tab. You can also track all the changes in the Action log tab.
