To ensure accurate reservation records, you can update the reservation owner in Mews Operations, for example, when you need to assign a guest as the owner of a reservation initially created by a travel agent. You can change the reservation owner at any time to correctly reflect the actual guest data in your system.
To change the owner of a reservation in Mews Operations, do the following:
- In the search bar, enter the reservation’s Confirmation number, space number, or group name.
- Open the reservation for which you want to change the owner.
- from the Timeline, select the reservation and click Manage, or
- enter the existing owner's name in the search bar and click on their reservation.
- Click the reservation and then click the Group tab.
- In Companions, click
Make owner next to the guest’s name that you want to assign as the reservation owner. Note: If the new owner is not listed as a guest in the reservation, add them first.
This changes the owner of the reservation.
Note: To remove the previous owner from the reservation, click Remove next to their name.
