How do I close my availability?

There are three options to close availability depending on your needs:

 

Block all reservations. 

Only block reservations from your channel manager.

Block all reservations except for the ones created via Mews Operations.

 

Block all reservations

To block all reservations, you have to create a closed-to-stay restriction that blocks your entire property.

 

  1. Go to Menu > Settings > Services > Bookable services > Choose service (e.g. Stay)

  2. Click Restrictions.

  3. Click +.

Only block reservations from your channel manager

There are two ways to block reservations from your channel manager depending on your rate setup:

 

  • If you have special rates that only apply to channel manager reservations, you can set up a restriction that closes those rates, or

  • Set up the restriction directly in the channel manager extranet Check this article for more information about restrictions and channel managers.

 

Block all reservations except for the ones created via Mews Operations

 

This option only allows new reservations created by employees with the Overbook spaces permission.

 

Step 1: Assign permissions to employees

 

  1. Go to Main menu > Settings > Users.

  2. Select the employee.

  3. Under Permissions, select Overbook spaces.

  4. Click Save.

 

 

Step 2: Adjust your availability

 

  1. Create the availability adjustment.

  2. Make sure that under Count you enter a negative number larger than the number of spaces in each category, so they’re all blocked.

 

Note: You’ll still be able to see your real availability in the Reservation Report.
