When guests scan the QR code on their table, the Order & pay menu opens. The Order & pay menu displays your web shop with an open order Mews POS assigns to the table. This allows guests to place orders directly to the table and pay for their orders within the same screen.
You configure the information Mews POS displays within the Order & pay menu via the online profile. When you create sellable products, Mews POS automatically adds them to the Order & pay menu.
To access the Order & pay menu:
- Scan a QR code assigned to a table.
- Tap Browse the Menu.
- The web page displays the items on your menu. Note: Mews POS groups Menu items by product category.
- Tap an item, then:
- Use the + and – to add or remove quantity or enter a number into the quantity box.
- Tap a product variant to select it. Note: Any product variants you configure appear here for selection.
- Tap Add to order.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 for any additional items.
- Tap View Order. This displays the order overview screen.
- On the order overview screen:
- Tap any item to re-open the item screen to edit the quantity or variant.
- Promo code: Enter a promo code connected to a discount.
- Add a Note: Enter a note. This appears on the order ticket for wait and kitchen staff.
- Tap Pay Later to send the order.
- The system displays the message Your order has been received. The items on the order are sent to Mews POS for approval by wait staff.
- If staff approve items they display in the order screen as CONFIRMED, if they reject items they display as VOID.
- Once all orders have been approved or rejected by wait staff, the order is complete. Note: It is possible to pay for the order via the Order & pay menu at this stage, you can learn more here.
You have now placed an order using the Order & pay menu.
