The Product checklist displays an overview of all the products your in-house guests purchased, consumed, or used, such as breakfast, spa, outdoor activities, or bike rentals. With the Product checklist, you can track products consumed or used on a selected day and gain insights into the consumption or usage of products in relation to the product orders. This can help you optimize your costs when, for example, you plan your meals or your spa facilities.
Note: To observe all the stay products ordered within a specific period within a specific service, use the Product report.
To open the Product checklist in Mews Operations,
- on the Mews Dashboard, in the Reports section, click on
, or
- go to the main menu
> Operations > Product checklist.
To select the Date for which you want to view the report, click .
In this article, you can learn about:
- Products claimed by age: A real-time summary of the products your guest consumed or used, categorized by the guests' age category
- Products claimed by hour: Real-time summary of products consumed or used by the hour.
- The date of the report.
- Space: The space where your guest is staying.
- Notes: Notes about the reservation, if any.
- Guests: List of guests in-house, including companions.
- Owner: Name of the reservation owner, either the main guest or the booker.
- Products: All products ordered or consumed on the selected day.
- Total amount: The total amount of products ordered in each category per guest.
To filter the report based on the:
- Guest’s name,
- Space name, or
- Space number
type in the name in the .
You can also click on to filter the report based on the following fields. Fields marked with * are mandatory.
- Date*: Click to select the date for which you want to view the report.
- Products: Click to select the products you want to view from each of your bookable or additional services.
- Reservations:
- Status: Click to select either of the following to view the guests that are arriving, departing, or staying overnight on the selected date.
- Arrival
- Departure
- Stayover
- Status: Click to select either of the following to view the guests that are arriving, departing, or staying overnight on the selected date.
- Show reservations without products: Click the slider switch to show or hide the reservations for which guests did not purchase any products, whether from bookable or additional services. Note: By default, the Product checklist displays only confirmed reservations with products attached for the current day.
- Advanced settings:
- Claimed products: Click to select to view the product claims, i.e. products consumed or used for each space as a total or split by age category.
- Displayed columns*: Check the boxes to view the Owners, Guests, or both.
Click View report to view the report after adjusting the filters.
You can sort the Product checklist in ascending or descending order by clicking on next to the Space or Owner columns.
You can use the Product checklist to visualize all products your guests order for a specific day and mark them as claimed, i.e. consumed or used once the guest benefits from that product, for example, once they consume breakfast.
Note: Currently, you cannot export the Product checklist.
You can track product usage by using the in the report. This indicates that your guests consumed or used the product they bought.
- To mark that all guests staying in a space consumed the products click
.
- To choose the guests who consumed certain products, click
> Claim per person.
You can use the Product checklist to add products from a bookable service to a reservation. You can learn how to create a product in Mews Operations here.
To add products to a reservation on the selected day:
- Click
. Note: If your guests didn’t purchase any products in advance, you can click
.
- Click Add products to the reservation.
- Product: Click to select the product your guest orders from the drop-down.
- Consumption date: Click to select the consumption time. Note: You can only add products for the selected day. Use the Items tab in the Reservations management screen to add products for specific dates.
- Quantity: Adjust the number of products your guest orders.
- You can check the Claim added products for today box to mark the products as claimed, i.e. consumed or used.
- Click Add products.
The newly added products instantly reflect in the report. To add products from additional services to a guest profile, use the Add products to guest option.

To add products to a guest’s profile:
- Click
. Note: If the guests didn’t purchase any products in advance, you can click
icon.
- Click Add products to guest.
- Service: Click to select the additional service.
- Customer: Click to select the guest profile.
- Date: Click to select a specific date and time when the customer intends to consume or use the product.
- Segment: Click to select a segment to classify the order for statistical information. You can learn how to adjust your segment settings here.
- When you enable the Has overridable price option in the service settings, you can update the following:
- Currency: Click to select the currency you use to charge the order. You can select from any of the currencies you set up on your property settings.
- Amount: You can add a service charge on top of the product charge.
- Notes: Add any details about the order.
- On the right side, you can view all products attached to the additional service.
- Unit cost: You can modify the item’s price when you enable the "Has overridable price" option in the service settings.
- Amount: Adjust the number of products your guest orders.
- Click Create.
Once you create the order, Mews updates the Product checklist and posts the bill items onto the guest’s profile.
To open a reservation, click > View reservation. This opens the Reservations management screen’s Items tab.
You can open the profile of a guest who ordered products from additional services.
To open a guest profile, click > View guest. This opens the Customer Management screen’s Profile tab.
