Why is my Space status — Legionella?
Why is the system changing my Space Status to Dirty (Legionella)?
If the status of a space has been on Cleaned or Inspected for 7 days, Mews changes the status of the room to Dirty (Legionella) shortly after the 7th night.
You can find these changes when you export the Space Status report:
What is Legionella and why does Mews change the room status?
Legionella is a bacteria that lives in water and causes a pneumonia-type illness. Several European countries established the European Working Group for Legionella Infections and published guidelines on what actions to be taken to prevent it from spreading. If a room is not occupied for more than 7 days, all water sources need to be flushed to prevent the bacteria from spreading.
Will the automatic change to Legionella be triggered if the space status was Out of Service (OOS) or Out of Order (OOO)?
The space status only changes to Dirty (Legionella) when the space status has been on Inspected or Clean for the last 7 nights.
Note : In order for the Legionella status to be activated, the room must remain in Status A (e.g. Inspected) for 7 full days. If it is change to Status B (e.g. Clean) on Day 5, the timer will start and will only change to 'Dirty' (Legionella) once it has been in Status B for 7 nights.
