How does the "Keep old price" option work?
How does the "Keep old price" option work?
The Keep old price option takes into consideration the total amount of the reservation: It always keeps the total price, so nightly prices may vary.
Keep old price example when adding a person to a reservation
A reservation for one person for one night is 100€ and has a 3€ breakfast on top of the rate: the guest needs to pay 103€ for the night and breakfast. Adding a second guest to this reservation with the Keep old price box ticked results in an average rate (nightly) of 97€ as the breakfast for the second guest is subtracted from the total night price, to keep the total price the same as the original: 103€.
Keep old price example when removing a person from a reservation
A reservation for two people for one night is 100€ and has two 3€ breakfast on top of the rate: the guests need to pay 106€ for the night and breakfasts. Removing a guest from this reservation with the Keep old price box ticked results in an average rate (nightly) of 103€ as the breakfast for the second guest is added to the night price, to keep the total price the same as the original: 106€.
Note: if you make multiple changes in one reservation, the base price taken into consideration is always the most recent one.
