To have a promotional rate that always shows a crossed-out higher rate in the Mews Booking Engine, follow these steps:
Learn more on How does the Mews Booking Engine display rates.
Step 1 - Set up the normal rate and the promotional rate
Create both rates following the guidance in the article Create and configure a rate. Make sure the following settings are correct:
- Both rates are enabled.
- Both rates are private.
- Both rates belong to the same rate group.
- The promotional rate has a lower price than the normal rate.
- If your promotional rate has product rules or restrictions, the normal rate must have the same ones.
Step 2 - Set up the voucher
Create a voucher following the steps from this article and link it to both the normal and the promotional rates.
As the rates are private, they only appear when they are made available by the voucher, and as the normal rate is more expensive, it is shown crossed-out.
Note: vouchers are only available for Pro packages or above.
