How to search for guest classifications in the Mews POS Android application

If you are using Mews POS with Mews Operations, Mews POS displays guest classifications when you select a room while seating a guest. Mews Operations categorizes guests into classifications based on various factors such as their purpose of visit, length of stay and the level of services they require. Some examples of classifications in Mews Operations are:

  • Returning: For returning customers.
  • LoyaltyProgram: For guests assigned to a loyalty program.
  • VeryImportant: For VIPs.

 

You can include VIPs, media personnel and returning or loyal guests in these classifications. This distinguishes the guests visiting your property, making your work easier and helping you provide appropriate service. When you complete a guest search in Mews POS, you can use the classifications to understand the needs and preferences of your guests.

 

To search for guest classifications in the Mews POS Android app:

  1. Tap an empty table, this opens the Table details screen.
  2. Tap Open order for table.
  3. Under Covers: Enter the number of people at the table.
  4. Tap Select a room.

 

  1. In the Find a room search field, enter the guest’s name, the room name or room number, then tap Search.  Note: You can also tap Scan guest’s key card and tap the guest’s keycard on your device. You can learn more about this option and how to enable it here.  
  2. Tap the correct guest, thentap Continue.
  3. Mews POS displays the follow information:
  • Room: The room name or number for the guest.
  • Guest name: The name of the guest.
  • Dietary requirements: The system displays any dietary requirements from the customer profile in Mews Operations.
  • Classifications: The system displays any classifications you assign to the customer within Mews Operations.

 



  1. Tap Done.
  2. Tap Save.

Note: You can tap  on the table order to see more classifications.

This provides information on guest classifications. You can view the guest classifications on the table order at any time.
