The Payments dashboard in Mews Business Intelligence gives you a complete overview of all payment activity across your property or portfolio. As a finance team member, accountant, or operations manager, you use this dashboard to monitor received payments, track payment methods, reconcile revenue, and identify payment trends that impact cash flow.

 

Use this dashboard for:

  • Payment tracking: Monitor all received payments across selected periods.
  • Revenue reconciliation: Compare payments received against billed revenue.
  • Payment method analysis: Review how guests and companies pay, such as card, cash, or bank transfer.
  • Cash flow visibility: Identify daily payment volumes and trends.
  • Operational oversight: Detect irregularities or gaps in payment collection.

 

Note: The data on the Payments dashboard updates every two hours. You can check the “last updated” timestamp at the top of the dashboard to confirm data freshness.

To access the Payments dashboard:

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu main menu > Business Intelligence > Overview. 
  2. Locate and click on Payments dashboard.

Using the Payments dashboard

The Payments dashboard supports financial monitoring and operational control. It helps you:

  • Monitor incoming payments: Track total payments received by day, week, or month.
  • Analyze payment methods: Understand how guests and companies prefer to pay.
  • Support reconciliation: Compare payment totals with revenue and invoice data.
  • Identify trends: Detect increases or decreases in payment volumes.
  • Improve cash flow oversight: Ensure timely and complete revenue collection.

 

For example, if you notice a sudden decrease in bank transfer payments compared to previous periods, you can review billing or settlement processes to identify the cause.

Data filters

You can refine the Payments data using dashboard filters:

  • Date: Analyze payments within a specific time period.
  • Property: Review payment data for one or multiple locations.
  • Payment method: Focus on specific settlement types.
  • Other relevant attributes: Apply additional payment-related filters if available in your configuration.

 

To filter the full dashboard:

  1. In the dashboard view, locate the filters in the top bar.
  2. Select the filter field, for example, Date or Payment method.
  3. Choose your criteria.
  4. Click Apply.
