The Pickup dashboard in Mews Business Intelligence

The Pickup Dashboard highlights short-term booking activity and its impact on revenue.

Key metrics include:

• Pickup: Net sum of room nights + cancellations for the chosen time period.
• Occupancy (pickup variance): Pickup divided by total rooms excl. OOO rooms
• ADR (pickup period): Average daily rate of new bookings.
• RevPAR (pickup period): Revenue per available room based on pickup.
• Room Revenue impact: Future revenue gained or lost from booking changes.
• Variance vs. STLY: Comparison with the same time last year to assess pace.

 

To access the Pickup dashboard:

1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu > Business Intelligence > Overview. 
2. Locate and click on Pickup dashboard.

 

Using the Pickup dashboard

The Pickup dashboard in Mews Business Intelligence is designed for revenue managers and operations teams to track short-term booking momentum.

 

It helps you:

• Monitor booking pace: Track daily changes in reservations, cancellations, and net pickup.
• Forecast demand: Identify strong or weak booking days to adjust pricing and inventory.
• Segment analysis: Understand which business segments, for example, OTA, Corporate, Groups, Direct, to drive pickup.
• Optimize booking windows: Analyze how far in advance guests are booking to shape promotions and rate strategies.
• Revenue impact: Link pickup to ADR, RevPAR, and room revenue to understand future performance.

 

Data filters

You can refine the Pickup data using filters such as:

• Select date of stay to analyze pickup for specific days or ranges.
• Filter by segments, for example, OTA, Corporate, Groups, Direct, etc.
• Adjust the booking window to focus on short-term vs long-term reservations.

 

Common filters in the Pickup dashboard include, but are not limited to:
