The Trial balance is a report in Mews Operations for your property’s financial staff to validate the correct posting of all charges and payments into Mews accounting and ledgers. It helps you ensure that automated accounting processes work correctly, provides an overview of daily payments and revenue, helps reconcile the data against external POS or accounting systems and determines ledger account balances. This report is essential for financial accuracy and transparency, facilitating financial statement preparation and strategic financial planning. Mews produces the Trial balance report automatically at the end of your defined business day, and it is available for download in PDF and Excel format.

Note
- Mews is currently releasing this feature region by region.
- You must have the Access sensitive reports permission to access the report.
- If you track invoices outside of Mews, the City ledger in the Trial balance now always shows a zero balance. Mews automatically offsets each issued invoice, so the Trial Balance only reflects balances managed in Mews. To see the invoice and offset, check the Ledger Activity report.
- All data in the Trial balance ledger is immutable and reflects the date of posting.
