Why are product rules not triggered when extending a reservation?

When you extend a reservation, if a stay product is set up to be charged "once" with a relative price, Mews then updates the product price only if the bill is still open.

If the bill is closed, you need to manually add a new product because:

 

  • the system has already added the original product "once", and
  • you cannot update closed items.


To post another item automatically when extending a stay, even with a closed bill, set up the product per time unit or nightly.
